NUTI EXPERT – THE COMBINATION OF NUTRITION AND TECHNOLOGY

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”. Therefore, Nutrition And Dietetics is always a matter of concern at all ages, genders and regions… However, not everyone is knowledgeable about nutrition for themselves and their families, leading to lack of nutrients, overweight or inappropriate diets which are becoming more and more common and affect health in general.

To solve this problem, Nutrition Research Institute of Ho Chi Minh City cooperated with Orenda Joint Stock Company to launch Nuti Expert Menu Building Software. In the afternoon of May 24, 2023, Nuti Expert was officially approved by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology to apply in real life.

The concern of Nutrition Experts

According to the National Nutrition Conference (2017-2020), the given data emphasized: “Vietnam is facing a triple burden of nutrition including malnutrition, obesity and micronutrient deficiencies”. To solve these problems, we need to focus on raising awareness, changing behavior, and upholding the responsibility of the whole political system, the community and each citizen. In addition, we also need to develop and organize the synchronous implementation of projects and programs on improving the health and stature of Vietnamese people; formulating and disseminating diets suitable for each target group, region, etc.

With a field of extensive expertise such as Nutrition And Dietetics, the nutritionists of the Nutrition Research Institute of Ho Chi Minh City always concern to build a diet suitable for each person. The key question is: “How can everyone have a diet that fits for them?”

The story of Technology Experts

Received the request from the Nutrition Research Institute of Ho Chi Minh City, Orenda team embarked on research and found a solution to this “difficult problem”. The first steps from learning specialized knowledge, specific nutritional assessment criteria, from which to research solutions, build a suitable system. Orenda staffs are constantly struggling to find ways to actualization the requirements of customers, put practical theories of nutrition and food into the software to help process quickly, scientifically and accurately the requirements in the field.

Start deploying from 2020, after two years of determination and effort, on May 9, 2022, Nuti Expert menu building software was put into trial operation. This tool helps to reduce the time for menu preparation, refueling for the Department of Dietetics and meet the doctor’s dietary requirements set out for special clinical cases. In addition, Nuti Expert also creates a close link between Nutrition – Food – Health, bringing health benefits to normal people and people with nutrition-related diseases.

On the afternoon of May 24, 2023, Nuti Expert was officially approved by Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology. This enthusiastic work of nutrition experts from the Nutrition Research Institute of Ho Chi Minh City will soon be accompanied to improve the health and stature of Vietnamese people.

The combination of Nutrition and Technology

Nuti Expert menu building software will be free of charge to join people in implementing the skill of “Eating smart” in the 4.0 era. With high applicability, Nuti Expert is a good coordination and interference between nutrition experts and technology team. The software is considered as a pioneering product for nutrition with menu design for many diseases.
